Synchronicity: The Meaning and Quantum Origins of Seven Types of Synchro...

Synchronicity, Signs

All Coincidences Have Meaning
Nothing Happens by Chance

Have you ever experienced a coincidence so incredible that it left you stunned? If so, then you have just taken a step into the fantastic world of Synchronicity.
What happens in most people’s lives is beyond their control, think about it. No matter how carefully you design your life; you cannot know how that design will be affected by a single random event. One small detail can and will change everything.
The most carefully planned project can be ruined by a single chance event, but a seemingly ridiculous idea could be a massive success due to chance! Your decisions are based on logic. But no matter how clever you are, it is not enough.

I Can See Clearly Now: How Synchronicity Illuminates Our Lives 0th Edition

When Mary Soliel woke up to the reality of synchronicity, she realized we are all constantly graced with meaningful signs, not mere coincidences, through our relationships, nature, numbers, events--basically all things this world is made up of. In I Can See Clearly Now, she shares her twelve-year spiritual odyssey that began with an awareness of these mysterious forces that guide, validate, and help us live our lives. Fibonacci numbers

LAST UPDATED:

Fibonacci numbers, the elements of the sequence of numbers 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, …, each of which, after the second, is the sum of the two previous numbers. These numbers were first noted by the medieval Italian mathematician Leonardo Pisano (“Fibonacci”) in his Liber abaci(1202; “Book of the Abacus”), which also popularized Hindu-Arabic numerals and the decimal number system in Europe. For information on the interesting properties and uses of the Fibonacci numbers see number games: Fibonacci numbers.

How You THINK, You Are

By      Expert Author Richard Brody

While some people possess certain skills, abilities, attributes, and an aptitude, which might be beneficial, and give them, a, so - called, leg - up, on the rest of us, in the vast number of instances, and situations, it's our quality of thinking, which creates, either, a positive, can - do, attitude, or an abundance of weakness, and self - doubt. Those, with self - confidence, and a positive, self - image, generally, start off, with a significant advantage, over those who think, they can't. While your thinking, and thought - processes, are significant, the most essential component, is when one begins with the concept and idea, he will be successful, and begins to behave and act, as a success, does, his potential is exponentially, enhanced! As the adage goes, As you THINK, you are! With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly examine, review, consider, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, why this concept is one of the most important, to one's ability to perform, to his potential.
1. Trust; temptation; timely; traction; thoughts: Our thoughts, often, control our actions, and thus, our performance. The more, we trust ourselves, the less likely, one is, to let the temptation, to accept, a short - cut, rather than the best approach. While most procrastinate, because of lack of, optimum, self - confidence, etc, the most successful individuals, proceed, with well - considered, timely action, When one refuses to remain within the limitations of his personal, comfort zone, and expands it, and proceeds, proactively, he begins to gain the necessary traction, to become the best, he can be!
2. Head/ heart; hear: When you have those, intimate, self - conversations, what do you tell yourself, and, precisely, what do you hear, and why? Will you be able to effectively utilize your emotional and logical components, with a head/ heart balance?
3. Inspire; imagine; image; ideas; integrity: While many claim to, few actually, proceed, with the utmost degree of personal integrity! WIll your thoughts inspire you, or be a hindrance? What image do you visualize, and what do you imagine, you can achieve? WIll you use these qualities, to perceive and conceive of, create, develop, and implement, quality actions, based on your ideas?
4. Needs; never: Will you commit, to, never - say - never? Will you identify, and prioritize, your personal goals, and address your needs, in a proactive manner?
5. Knowledge; know: Are you focused - enough, to make knowledge, your friend and ally, so you know, your options and alternatives, and proceed, with the finest judgment, and hopefully, wisdom?
How you THINK, you are! What do you think?

The Best Way to Look Good Each Day

By     Expert Author Susan Leigh

Some people think that looking good is about being perfectly groomed, wearing the latest fashions and appearing as if you've just stepped from the pages of a fabulous magazine. But there are many people who fulfill none of those criteria, who may even look a little wild, quirky and dishevelled at times and yet something about them means they always looks great.
What does it take to look great, what is the best way to look good each day?
- Top of many people's attractive list is a ready smile and a cheery disposition. Someone who is warm, friendly and enjoys life generates an inner glow and radiance that lights up everything and everyone about them.
- Be someone who's prepared to say yes, who's enthusiastic, joins in and is willing to have a go. People who grab opportunities will most times look good because that mindset generates engagement and a readiness to live life to the full. Attractive people often have a genuine interest in life and what it brings.
- Start to develop good habits and maintain a positive mindset by focusing on the good things that happen each day, even the small things like a stranger's smile, a compliment, a thoughtful gesture, the view from your window. When you start to treasure the good in life the ensuing happier outlook will help you look better each day.
- Learn not to take things personally. Someone else's bad mood or unwarranted outburst may be because they have a situation of their own that needs to be dealt with. Reflect on what's happened, try to stand back from it a little and decide how to respond. When you detach yourself you can determine how to next proceed, as well as take care of how you want to feel afterwards.
- Look after yourself. Good health is a significant factor in looking good. Exercise regularly and follow a healthy regimen, with breaks for good food and plenty of water. The importance of sleep is often underestimated, but respect that quality sleep is a key part of processing the day's activities. We often feel better, have a more positive view of life when we've 'slept on it'. Many people work long hours and hope to catch up on their sleep at weekends or holiday times but try to introduce good habits; switch off your technology and commit to a couple of hours relaxation before bed. Wind down, sleep well and invest in looking good each day.
- Be gentle with yourself. Forgive yourself your shortcomings and mistakes. Yes, there may be issues and situations that need to be dealt with, things that are messy, that cause stress. Try to deal with them quickly; it's usually less stressful than was envisaged. Value constructive criticism. Decide if there's a validity to what's been said, a learning point you could benefit from. Treat yourself with the same compassion you would someone else, then give yourself credit for your gentler approach.
- Don't underestimate the role of professional help in dealing with your 'demons', negative patterns of behaviour or any issues you may have. Utilise a good counsellor or hypnotherapist and support yourself in becoming stronger and more confident. Reacting badly to stress, situations and other people can become a habit and sometimes we need help to change that and learn to cope better.
- Accept help. Let friends, family or colleagues provide support and be gracious about their ideas and input. You may even need to ask for help at times, suggest things that you need to make your life easier, especially if you've always been independent. But mutual support can improve relationships, generate new ideas and forge important bonds and connections. Communicate regularly and invest time and attention in your special relationships. Welcome the closeness and feel part of team you.
- Some people find that they're always in a rush in the mornings. They have so much to cram into the first hour of each day that they're already frazzled and out of sorts by the time they arrive at work. Going to better earlier may allow you to get up earlier, with time to start the day well. You could do some stretching, 30 minutes of yoga, maybe get off the bus a stop earlier and walk part of the way. Then you can take time and have a drink, maybe some breakfast and start the day with a more relaxed, positive frame of mind, looking better as a consequence.
- Reflect on how your appearance, the impression you give, the image you portray. Many of us adopt an everyday 'uniform' in order to dress quickly, fit in with our colleagues and go about our lives. We may shop intermittently for new items but answer honestly, if you really looked at yourself would you say 'wow, not bad' or 'could maybe do with a make over'! Try to impartially assess your style. Perhaps take a selfie. Are you a little dated, do you need to freshen your image or amend your look to suit your present lifestyle better? Makeup can be a factor too; many women wear the same look for years, yet most department stores employ makeup consultants who are only too happy to provide advice on updating your image. Visit a different hairdresser or barber and benefit from being styled by a fresh pair of eyes.
- Schedule in some fun. Some times of the year can seem more gloomy than others. If you're short of cash, on your own or overwhelmed with commitments there can seem to be little opportunity for fun anytime soon. Plan a get together, maybe once every few weeks or so, where you invite friends, neighbours, colleagues around for a catch up. It could be a games evening with cards or football, a bite of supper where everyone brings a bottle or dish or even a local concert or dance. Money doesn't need to be a major part of fun. Having people round for a coffee or going for a walk together can help you feel more positive, sociable and inject some sociability into your life. And having something in your diary to look forward to can really lift your spirits.
- Do things that make you feel happy. Even if you've only a little free time, try to ensure that you find a corner in your day where you read a book or enjoy a special hobby or interest. Maybe go to bed a little earlier and spend the time listening to music or find a stimulating evening class. When you find time for things that make you feel happy you'll find that you look better as a consequence.
Looking good comes not just from being clean, tidy and well-groomed. It's also important to invest time and attention in our mental and emotional wellbeing also.

10 Ways to Live More Fully

By      Expert Author Dr Kate Siner

Stop trying to be perfect: You already are. Yes, each one of us is a work in progress, but that work is perfect in its state of evolution. When you are driven by perfection, you are unable to appreciate who you already are. Try instead to look at what is right about you.
Stop Trying to Impress Others: The people who want to be impressed (in the way I am talking about here) are not worth your time. The people who will judge you without knowing you or based on some criteria that are not even important to you are just not your people. The people who matter will think you are amazing. Pay more attention to them.
Stop Trying to Be Someone Else: If you are comparing yourself to someone who has different talents than you do or if you think that you should be doing things a different way than is natural for you, instead start to appreciate how you do things and what your talents are.
Find What You Love: When you let yourself be yourself, you will naturally be drawn to what you love. But, what you love also shows you something about who you are. If you don't know what you love, experiment. If you like it, try doing it again and see if it grows into something.
Give Yourself Permission to Do What You Love: Once you find the things you love, do them a lot. The more that you do what you love, the happier and the more satisfied you will be with your life. If you know what you love but you are not doing it, get the support you need to give yourself permission to be happy.
Don't Waste Time Doing Other Things: Why bother doing things that you do not enjoy? Yes, I understand life has some practicalities that need to be addressed, but once they have been attended to-are you still wasting time not doing what you love? If so, start a plan to cut out the things that are not in line with who you want to be or what you love, and then take action.
Slow Down: We can all get a bit ahead of ourselves. It is not about doing more or doing it faster, it is about really enjoying our life. We can't do that if we are moving so fast that we don't even know what is happening. Start by building some real breaks into your schedule.
Pay Attention to What Is Working (Most of the Time): Most of us would benefit from being a bit more positive. There is a place for looking at what is not working, but when we pay attention to what works, we often learn more about it and therefore can have more of it. We also feel better about what we are experiencing. If you see yourself getting negative, find one thing that is working.
Express Gratitude: Being grateful is one of the most effective ways to be happier. When in doubt, find something to appreciate. And don't forget to apply it to yourself!
Learn to Fully Receive: The emphasis on doing that most of us have been enculturated into leaves us less skilled when it comes to receiving. But how can we have a full and rich life if we can't receive it? The next time someone compliments you, take it in.

Don't Get Stuck On The One Thing That Ruins Your Day

By   |   Expert Author Tony Fahkry
The Futility Of Holding On To Negative States
Do a mental exercise with me: Think of a recent situation that ruined your day? Perhaps you received a message from someone and suddenly you were caught up in negativity? The list of things that can get us stuck in the mental muck is quite lengthy, yes? Things happen and we tend to carry the energy throughout our day. But it doesn't have to be this way because we can process negative events and allow them to move through us. I realise it may be difficult to do at first but with practice, you can avoid ruminating on situations that spoil your day. I speak from experience as someone accustomed to holding on to negative emotions for hours. I discovered it was futile being immersed in negativity when it takes an emotion two a half minutes to move through our nervous system, according to neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor.
Think about that for a moment. It takes the time to brush your teeth for an emotion to move through your nervous system, yet many of us hold on to them for longer than necessary. We replay the memory of the event time after time and it ruins our life because we are not present but caught up in our minds. We are not truly living but trapped in the past. Can you relate to this where you found it difficult to let go of incessant negative thoughts? It is normal to make sense of negative events, yet sometimes we must avoid looking for meaning. For example, I would ruminate about a negative experience for hours, trying to figure its meaning. However, I was only processing thoughts in an attempt to ascribe meaning to something that wasn't there.
It involves recognising the futility of holding on to negative emotions. They were impacting my day and my interaction with others. One negative thought at the beginning of your day is like a plant that grows branches deep into the soil. Soon enough, it is sprouting roots and growing at a rate impossible to stop. This is the analogy to what takes place when we become fixated on negative thoughts. Through our neural structures in the brain, they gain a foothold in our mind and turn into negative emotional states within our body. Emotions are not meant to be stored in the body but intended to move through it.
Don't Miss Out On Life Bearing Its Gifts
Is this something you're willing to practise? Will you allow a negative situation to move through you instead of getting stuck on the one thing that can ruin your day? Your answer will dictate whether you remain trapped in your thoughts or allow life to move through you. This is a key point: Life is constantly happening on a moment to moment basis. Even our thoughts is life materialising through us and if we are fixated on one thought over another, we stop the flow of life which becomes stagnant. We ought to let go of processing circumstances by experiencing the event and letting it go. It reminds me of the story attributed to the Buddha in which he spoke of anger being akin to holding a hot coal in your hands. Your initial reflex is to drop the coal because it is too hot. The same applies to our thoughts. As unwanted thoughts enter our stream of consciousness, we release them instead of clutching to them.
I never said it was easy, but with practice and persistence you can let go of negative thoughts as quickly as they enter your mind. I recall an experience last year which involved a minor altercation with a motorist. There was an exchange of words between us that lasted a few seconds. After the event, I was able to return to a state of peace within seconds. In fact, I was laughing at the absurdity of what took place. In previous years, I would have ruminated on it for hours, perhaps days. Through my practice of mindfulness and meditation, I now appreciate thoughts come and go from our minds like ocean tides. To associate with all of them is a waste of time because we miss out on other enriching thoughts and experiences simultaneously taking place.
Life continues to stream through the tiny pockets of moments intertwined throughout our day. If we process thoughts based on what took place hours ago, we miss out on life bearing its gifts in the present moment. So, over the coming week try to be mindful of those thoughts you tend to fixate on. Stop and ask yourself: "Am I dwelling on fear?" If the answer is yes, drop the negative thought and shift your attention to what is happening in the present moment. Avoid distracting yourself by scrolling through your phone since that only delays dealing with your emotions. Be more present and aware of what you are holding in the container of your heart and mind. If it is not useful, let it go. After all, don't get stuck on the one thing that ruins your day because it may be the very thing that holds you back from true bliss and alignment.

Richard S. Issacson, MD—director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornel Medicine and New York Presbyterian in New York—reported a major breakthrough to Medscape. A study published in the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry tested a group of patients aged 50‐90 with memory complaints and early stage Alzheimer’s. They used a randomized study which gave these patients either a placebo or a special supplement of curcumin! The study was double‐blind (no one knew who was getting the curcumin or the placebo).

The Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.
In its original form it read:
"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1923, the words, "the Flag of the United States of America" were added. At this time it read:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy's daughter objected to this alteration. Today it reads:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

How Negative Emotions Can Affect Your Health

May 17, 2018

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Every feeling you have affects some part of your body. While positive emotions such as gratitude have been scientifically linked to a number of beneficial health effects, negative emotions and stress can wreak havoc
  • Certain emotions are known to be associated with pain in certain regions of your body. For example, depressed individuals will often experience chest pains, even when there’s nothing physically wrong with their heart
  • A biochemical cascade occurs during a bout of anger. Adrenaline and noradrenaline are released, raising your blood pressure, heart rate and breathing rate. Blood is pushed to your extremities, including your face, which may turn red.

Drug dealers are "cutting" or adding fentanyl to heroin to make it more potent and it is leading to unintentional overdoses. Fentanyl is the most potent opioid available for use in medical treatment in the U.S. and abuse of this drug can be deadly. Fentanyl is 50-100 times more potent than morphine and up to 50 times more potent than heroin. The abuse of fentanyl has increased not only because of the crackdown on prescription pain-killers and the increase in heroin abuse, but also because more of it is being illegally produced and smuggled into the U.S.
Fentanyl is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Schedule II controlled substance which means it has a high potential for abuse as well as an accepted medical use in the U.S. Fentanyl is principally used to treat severe pain in cancer patients and is produced in the form of a lozenge, pill, nasal spray or a transdermal patch. It is also administered intravenously as an anesthetic during heart surgery. (1)
While the FDA-approved fentanyl continues to be illegally diverted into the hands of addicts, other man-made versions of fentanyl are becoming more common and are causing havoc in the heroin community. Clandestinely produced fentanyl (vs the FDA-approved version) is also much more potent than traditional street heroin, and is also being used by drug traffickers. One of the more common versions of unregulated fentanyl that is added to heroin is known as acetyl fentanyl.
Acetyl fentanyl is an opioid analgesic (pain-killer) that is an analogue of fentanyl, meaning it is chemically or pharmacologically similar to fentanyl. Acetyl fentanyl can be as much as 80 times more potent than morphine and 5-15 times more potent than heroin. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other law enforcement agencies are experiencing an increase in the number of seizures of street drugs containing acetyl fentanyl. Due to increasing deaths attributed to this designer drug, on July 17, 2015, DEA has temporarily placed acetyl fentanyl into Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. Substances in Schedule I have a high potential for abuse, no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision.
Over 12 different analogues of fentanyl have been produced and identified as being sold illegally in the U.S. (2) Unbeknownst to the users and addicts, drug dealers are cutting heroin with fentanyl analogues and selling it as heroin on the street. Although less potent than the FDA approved fentanyl, the fentanyl analogues are still powerful enough to induce overdose in unsuspected victims, even if a "typical" dose of heroin is taken.
Acetyl fentanyl has also been detected in tablets that have been sold on the street as oxycodone. (3). Acetyl fentanyl is sold illegally on the internet as a so-called research chemical which is labeled "not for human consumption". Regardless of how it is labeled, it is illegal to purchase acetyl fentanyl in the U.S. and doing so is a violation of the Controlled Substances Act. Those who purchase it on-line will be subject to federal prosecution.
There is no existing sanctioned or authorized use for acetyl fentanyl. It is commonly produced in clandestine laboratories in China and Mexico and is commonly referred to on the street as "China-White". This designer drug is highly likely to contain other unknown contaminants that can be fatal when consumed. Acetyl fentanyl is usually an off-white powder and may be slightly darker depending on the additives.
